Dealing with spouse with dimentia
Topic: Dimentia and Alzheimer's disease

April 28th, Jon's mind is slowly declining. Now he needs help with things like fixing breakfast or having to be remined to brush his teeth and shower. He makes his bed every morning since it appears it was a habit well formed in his youth. I guess some things remain with Alzheimer's disease. We are still not sure if that's what he has. His neurologist said it's not because no shrinkage of that part of the brain has occurred but that was 2 years ago that he told us that.

Jon is scheduled for a preop appointment to have his soft pallate shortened the help his sleep apnea and repair a deviated septim. I am not sure if this will help his mind but it will provide him with a much better nights sleep and I will sleep better for sure and I need sleep to better care for him.
